Volunteer Spotlight

Friends of the Desert Wetlands Park
This month, we would like to spotlight the volunteers from the Friends of the Desert Wetlands Park Committee. These members have volunteered numerous hours over the last few years (and some over the last few decades) to promote wetlands in the Las Vegas Wash and establish an area where bird watchers, walkers, and others may enjoy this amazing environment. This non-profit organization was started in 1996 in order to organize volunteer efforts for all aspects of the Wetlands Park. As a member of the LVWCC, this group has been involved in study team meetings as well as coordination meetings over the last two years. Their tireless efforts and numerous contributions are greatly appreciated.
